Run GoRun on your computer

العربية

GoRun is a self-hosted CMS for your team and AI agents. For a local trial on macOS or Linux, paste the whole block below into your terminal. You do not need Go, Docker, a database installer or administrator privileges.

(
  set -eu
  installer="$(mktemp)"
  trap 'rm -f "$installer"' EXIT
  curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/zadstack/gorun/main/install.sh -o "$installer"
  sh "$installer"
) &&
export PATH="$HOME/.local/bin:$PATH" &&
gorun start --data "$HOME/.local/share/gorun/site"

The official installer downloads a public release, checks its SHA-256 checksum and installs the executable for your user. This quick start requires 0.4.0 or newer. The browser opens after SQLite and the default theme are ready. On an empty site, the terminal shows the first admin password once; save it privately.

Finish your first sign-in

Sign in as admin with that temporary password, then choose your email, a different password, site name and language. Your executable is at ~/.local/bin/gorun and your site data is at ~/.local/share/gorun/site. Stop with Ctrl+C; repeat the final command to use the same site. Existing accounts and content are preserved.

Choose where people can connect

LAN links are read-only public previews. Administration stays on the local computer. Add --local-only to disable LAN access, or --no-browser on a headless computer. If the browser does not open, use the printed local link. For a public domain and HTTPS, follow the production server guide. Do not use the local preview as a public deployment.
